Quick Update

Just wanted to let eveyone know that the Southern Virginia Volleyball team is headed to the National Tournament in Louisville, KY next weekend. GO KNIGHTS!!!

This is Halloween....

So like usual, I'm a little slow but we had a great Halloween!  It was a 3 day long party!  We started Saturday night with our ward party, Sunday we had our Family Party, then of course actual Halloween on Monday.  The costumes as always were so fun!  I must say though one of my favorites was Bubba who with one of his friends decided to be disney princesses so he dressed up as Sleeping Beauty, and he pretty well had everyone fooled that he was actually a girl!  So below are pictures in no specific order, just how they loaded, and I wasn't about to try and rearrange them, (I'm a little computered out at the moment because I have been working on the High School Volleyball video)  So here they are...ENJOY!!!!

The link below is to an  article & pic  from a game last week that was on the SVU website and I thought very worth while of sharing. Another GIRL Teenager....Heaven help me

Heaven help me I have another teenage GIRL in my house.  This past Friday Jentry turned 13!  It ended up being a 3 day long party but hey it was lots of fun!  We ended up having to go to the orthodontist on her birthday but we made the best of it!  We did a little shopping then we met up with our long lost "adopted son & brother" Creed as well as Jentry's friend Katelynn and her brother another "adopted kid" Aaron who had just returned home from his mission and his mom Shauna. It was great to meet up with them and get to visti and catch up.  We then hurried home so that Jentry could have some friends over to PARTY!.  Scary movies, pizza and alot of giggling girls made for a fun night!   Saturday morning Jentry and I headed up north for her "Birthday date".  She chose to go see the movie abduction with Taylor Lautner (of course)  then Panda Express for lunch.   Sunday we had the family party, she got lots of fun gifts, & gift certificates to go shopping!  But her most favorite is something she has been asking for for months.....a Jimmer jersey!  Pretty great birthday, just not sure if I am ready for another teenage girl!  LOL

Where were you on Sept. 11, 2001?

I remember getting up that morning and turning on my tv, ususally I wouldn't turn on my tv in the mornings, but some reason I did that morning.  I remember I had maybe been watching the news a couple of mins when the 2nd plane hit the tower, and watching in horror I sat there sobbing uncontrollably and Shyanne asking what was wrong?  As I tried to explain to her and Austin what was going on, all the while trying to get them ready for school, I watched my kids cry and have compassion for people that they had never even met, and although I knew they didn't quite comprehend what it all meant, we all felt something that morning that will never be forgotten.  I remember hugging them both a little longer and telling them how much I loved them we walked out the door to get in Jennifer's car, and   Jen asking why we looked like we had been crying?  I said to her you haven't had your tv on have you?  I briefly described what was happening and told her to go home and turn on her tv.  May we never forget those that lost their lives that day and those that continually risk their lives to defend ours and this wonderful country.

Boating Trip

We had a GREAT time boating this past saturday.  Thanks to Tom & Jen for taking us!  The kids loved tubing, knee boarding, Jentry conquered her first 360 on the knee board, and Austin learned to wake board!
