Where does the time go?

Friday marked another milestone in our family as Austin graduated from 6th grade, so now it's off to middle school for him!!!! I remember my own fears, anticipation & excitement of making that big move from elementary to middle school. Austin is such a good kid, he's pretty mild mannered (unless Jentry is bugging him) and a good helper. He has had the same best friend since kindergarten, he and Nikki are like brother & sister. So here's some pics from his big day!

Proud Mom of a State Champion

What an excellent weekend!!!! I have to brag on Shyanne!!! Even though track has been real struggle for her this year, she finished so strong and showed that hard work and perseverance does pay off! Shy is now a back 2 back state champion in the 4x4 relay! She place 6th in state in the 400 and although had a disappointing run in the 200 due to an injury in the muscle of her left leg that has been plaguing her, she finished 7th in it, and then after some quick work by the trainers, went out and ran the 4x4 with her fastest time ever of 58.5 seconds securing the teams 2nd state championship! I am so proud of her and her accomplishments. She is looking forward to winning a 3rd straight championship next year! Way to go Shyanne!

The Joys and Rewards of Missionary Work!

This past weekend marked a very special milestone for me and my family. It was almost 3 years ago that Creed came into our lives through Shyanne. He has had an incredible journey coming into the gospel and it has been a wonderful experience and testimony builder for all of us to be able to see his growth and progression in the church. We knew 3 years ago that he was a special spirit of our Heavenly Father and through inspiration and the spirit knew that our family were to be an example and encouraging factor to him to bring him into the gospel, even through some very trying times, when we felt like there was no way it was ever going to happen, our prayers have been answered. I was able to attend the temple with Creed saturday as he took out his own endowment, preparatory to entering the mission field on June 17th. It was a wonderful day and I have have felt so blessed by his transformation. I have no doubt that he is going to go on to be an exceptional missionary!
