Hawaii Trip

Ok so back in December when I asked Shy what she would like for graduation she said she would like for her and I to go to Hawaii. At first I thought yeah right what is she smoking? But then I decided why the heck not, if I get a good tax return I might as well use it for something that I will actually be able to remember what it went for, so we did it! We left 2 days after her high school graduation and spent a week in paradise! It was a great trip and I love that I was able to have this special us time before she leaves for college in August. We were joined by her best friend Kylee Blackham, her mom Nina and sister in-law Kali. It was a trip I will always fondly remember.

NSH GRADUATION

My little Shy Bug graduated from NSH May 28, 2010. Shy graduated with honors, as well as her many athletics achievements. I can't believe she has graduated and will now be moving on to college. I am so proud of her accomplishments, and I am so grateful for the young woman that she is. Congratulations Shy!!!

"S" Award

Tuesday night Shyanne was awarded with the prestigius "S" Award. This award is given to 15 graduating seniors at North Sanpete High School. Its is awarded on points that the student earns in all activities through out the 4 years of High School. It is also a service award for outstanding service at NSH. She was also awarded her Academic/Athletic Scholarship to SVU! Way to go Shy!

North Sanpete's Outstanding Senior Athlete

Thursday morning in an assembly in front of the student body Shyanne was presented with the outstanding senior athlete award for 2009-2010! Her track coach Scott Butler was the one to award her with the plaque. Shy has worked very hard her 4 years of high school in ahtletics as well as in the classroom, and I couldn't be more proud of her! She is so deserving of this honor!

3 In a Row State 4X4 Champions

Nothing like starting and ending your senior year as a State Champion! This year was the 3rd straight state championship in the 4X4 for Shyanne! Although track is by far her least favorite sport, she excels in it, and even though is sometimes a struggle for her to want to do it, she always go's out competitive wanting to win! I really never thought that track would be a very fun sport to go and watch, but I have loved it! (maybe not the weather we have to endure during spring sports in Utah) but loved the sport and watching Shy be so successful in it! The kids that run track are such a great bunch of kids, there's never been the drama or cattiness in track that has been in the other sports she has participated in and therefore and made the experience definately one to have fond memories of. I again can't express enough how proud I am to have had the opportunity of having Shyanne for a daughter!

Shyanne ususally anchors the 4X4, but because she has such an amazing and fast start out of the blocks, she ran the first leg and gave our team a very commanding lead!

Bubba loves his Lakers!

Ok so most of you know we are generally Jazz fans, but I do have a couple who thinks for themselves, that would be Bubba & Shyanne, they are definately Lakers fans (thanks Creed ;) Anyway, so Bubba decided he was taking his birthday money and buying what he wanted, so this is the end result! Even though the Lakers aren't my favorite team, I can't argue with him that they are a good team and Kobe is an excellent player! I love his love of sports, and that he sticks to his guns defending his teams!!!
