PARKS FAMILY REUNION
What a great 4th of July we had!!! We decided to throw together a kind of last minute family reunion with our Parks family. It was so wonderful to see all of those that were able to make it. We enjoyed visiting, playing volleyball, the parade, water kickball, slip -N- sliding, movie night & drive in cheeseburgers, playing cards, Kai's 1st birthday party, lots of great food and of course fireworks! We have been truly blessed to be a part of this family, and I am so grateful for Grandpa & Grandma Parks who instilled such wonderful family values, and even though they weren't here with us in body, I felt their love and spirit and their happiness that we were gathered together.

Mamma Mia
I had a wonderful time this weekend just hanging with my girls! (well one ditched most of the day) but it was still fun to just hang, shop, eat & play! We started off the day with a softball game for Jentry & Shelby then made our way north! We did some shopping, had dinner at Cafe Rio, took some pics at Temple Square then met up with my mom, sisters & nieces to see Mamma Mia. Definitely needed a fun day!

Blessings of a Missionary
Exactly 1 week from today Elder Ebell will return from serving in the Brisbane Australia Mission. He is my "adopted" son, he came into our family through Shyanne. He is one of those just very likeable kids, although was also the typical 17 year old punk kid, but our family always felt as if there was a greater purpose that needed to be served with this young man. The story of things that came about and the feelings that were felt concerning Creed are much to long to put in this post, but suffice it to say we knew that somewhere along the jouney of this youngs man life, we were to be an influence on him and get him into the mission field. Thank goodness for the spirit and the direction it gives us, he was called to serve a mission. The change and the impact that his mission has had on him is astounding, and the blessings and the example of it on my family especially my own 2 boys is something I will be eternally grateful for. I am grateful for the opportunity to have known this young man and for the example he is and for the blessings of a Missionary.

New Milestones
This weekend marked two milestones for our family. Austin graduated from 8th grade and now makes the big move to high school in the fall. Jentry graduated from 6th grade and moves on to middle school. Yikes!! They are all growing up way to fast! Shelby received a state award for her poster in the against drug & tobacoo competition, and Bubba received several math olypmic awards & track awards. I am so grateful & blessed to have these wonderful gifts from God in my life, I really don't know what I would do without them.

2011 Mt. Pleasant City Youth Volleyball Champions!!!
Woot Woot! We just finished up city volleyball and Austin & Jentry's team won the championship! It was a fun season, they got to play with their cousin Yellie, and their good friend Taylor Jorgensen. They pretty much dominated the whole thing, (even with the butt ugliest colored shirts you have ever seen) but they played hard and learned alot. So excited for lots of more volleyball years to come!
